Dürr Systems is a single-source OEM that can meet the broadest range of machinery for battery electrode production, from an R&D coater developing new chemistries to a coating line that meets the basic and competitive needs of a new player in the market to a fully integrated manufacturing plant for high-volume runs.

Our process equipment includes a patented simultaneous 2-sided coating system—the linear process flow improves quality, cost-effectiveness, and speed-to-market for battery electrodes. It is available in the PilotCoater, ProCoater™, GigaCoater™ and GigaCoaterXL™ units, including 5 m/min-80 m/min production speed and 350 mm-2200 mm web widths.

Our capabilities cover the entire production line, with systems for raw material handling, slurry mixing and fluid delivery, web handling, coating and drying, solvent recovery and purification, calendering, and slitting. In addition, we offer a world-class development center—a controlled test environment with a complete roll-to-roll pilot coating line that can help establish the viability of emerging and advanced battery materials via short production runs for testing multiple coating formulations.
