Headquartered in Chicago, IL, Anovion is an advanced battery materials technology company with North America’s first commercially operational capacity dedicated to synthetic graphite anode material. Bringing a pedigree of over 140 years of experience to the production of synthetic graphite, Anovion is a leader in the innovation and manufacturing of anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. Anovion’s 100% domestic supply chain includes US-sourced raw materials, operating at multiple manufacturing and office locations in the US. Anovion products are qualified and in commercial production today with customers in key markets like commercial electric vehicles, aerospace and defense. We are growing rapidly, with active qualification testing underway at leading automotive electric vehicle OEMs and suppliers, among others.

Launched in March of 2022, Anovion is the combination of key assets contributed by affiliates of Amsted Graphite Materials, a world leader in graphite materials science, and the acquisition of Pyrotek’s battery materials division, a manufacturer of synthetic graphite anode material critical for lithium-ion batteries.
